Sharon DiGennaro is a Law Enforcement Police K-9 Handler in Central Florida. She attended the world’s finest Navy, Master-at-Arms school and held Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearances. After the military, she continued her education to include an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate in Science in Business Administration. Sharon has attended numerous seminars for tracking, defense, and obedience. She completed 880 hours of law enforcement K-9 handling school, which included narcotics, tracking, and patrol. As a police K-9 Handler, she and her German Shepherd K-9 specialize in drug detection and patrol missions. Whether handling crime prevention, locating missing/endangered citizens, or being the first line of defense in a critical state, they are trained to deal with any situation. Sharon is also the Secretary of The Czechoslovakian Vlciak Club of America, Inc. (CSVCA). In addition to her secretary roles, her responsibilities include the club’s newsletter and any AKC breed recognition requirements. She is the author of the article series, “Working Around the World,” which includes interviews with experienced CSV trainers in other countries and their accomplishments with their dogs. She hopes these articles will inspire more owners to train and possibly compete with their dogs. Sharon hosted a Meet the Breed in Lakeland, Florida, and attended the AKC Meet the Breeds in Tampa. She is a CSVCA approved breeder under the kennel name DireWolf Pack. Her dogs have obtained the second Grand Champion for the breed, the third Certificate of Merit, the first Begleithund (BH) and Ausdauerprüfung (AD) in the US, and multiple Bests in Show/Open Shows. Earlier this year, she attended Peter Krotkovsky’s breeding seminar in the United Kingdom. Sharon enjoys sharing history, experiences, and training tips, so if you have any questions, please contact her at www.dire-wolves.com.
